On December 7, representatives of teachers and students enjoyed the scenery along the route aboard a Fuxing EMU train traveling from Yan’an Railway Station to Xi’anbei Railway Station. On the same day, residents living along the Xi'an-Yan'an High Speed Railway as well as representatives of primary and secondary school teachers and students from Xi’an, Yan’an, Tongchuan and Weinan cities participated in a themed public awareness campaign on caring for and protecting the railway.
At present, various commissioning and debugging tasks for the trial operation of the Xi'an-Yan'an High Speed Railway are progressing steadily. The line has met the conditions for safe experience runs and is about to enter formal operation. The Xi'an-Yan'an High Speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in the old revolutionary base areas of northern Shaanxi. The line has a total length of 299.8 kilometers and a designed maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
